The Buried Life was written and recorded in a little over a week, straddling the end of October and the start of November 2010. Each track features just drums, bass, vocals and a pair of guitars. The stripped orchestration helping to recapture the urgency and raw emotion of MLP's early days - while the new recording techniques helped to eliminate the many sonic problems (as referred to in the final track...) that those early 4-track tape recordings experienced.
